Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited gives Scholarships to rural students

Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has provided scholarships to underprivileged students of microfinance scheme as its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) program. Chairman Alhajj Abdus Samad handed over the donations to the students as Chief Guest in a ceremony arranged at Head Office of the Bank on 20 April 2017. Directors Alhajj Abdul Malek Mollah and Alhajj Engr. Kh. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed were present as Special Guests. Managing Director Md. Habibur Rahman presided over the ceremony. Among others, Deputy Managing Directors Kazi Towhidul Alam, Md. Abdul Jalil, Md. Fazlul Karim, Muhammad Mahmoodul Haque, S. M. Jaffar, Executive Vice President Abed Ahmed Khan, EVP & Company Secretary Abdul Hannan Khan, Senior Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah, Vice President Jalal Ahmed and other executives of the Bank were also present in the occasion.

The Bank gave scholarships to 32 poor students to encourage them to continue their study. Chairman Alhajj Abdus Samad said, Al-Arafah Islami Bank is not only a financial institution but also a social organization. He assured these types of welfare activities will be continued in future.
